April 6th, which happens to be Good Friday on this year's Christian calendar, marked a milestone for my Grandpa. As he stated when I called him on the morning of his birthday, "well, I'm at 80% now. That's pretty good!"

We celebrated those wonderful 80 years about 2 weeks ago with a dual 80th birthday Mexican fiesta at my aunt & uncle's amzing place. My aunt Julie's father, Don, hit 80% on March 23rd.
The party took place on a beautifully-decorated back patio (thank you, Julie!) that over-looked a perfectly groomed pond (thanks, P!). They even have a sweet little rowboat, which provided quite a bit of entertainment throughout the evening for several guests.
The BIG surprise for the evening was a local Tulsa mariachi band, Mariachi Santo Domingo, that played during the evening. They were AWESOME and our family would highly recommend them for any event!

Both of the birthday "boys" are hilarious. They are fun-loving guys who give great hugs and make the most out of life. They even danced together during the party, which involved some twirling and bumping their bellies together. See photo evidence...
It really was a perfect evening of celebrating 80 wonderful years! AND MANY MORE!!!!
